John George age 29, Mary George age 29 and John age 4 ,Caroline age 3, Annie M. age 1 arrived on the "Earl of Dalhousie" 7th May 1877. The Earl of Dalhousie was a wooden full-rigged ship of 1047 tons built in 1862 in Dundee. It was sheathed in felt and yellow metal in 1874; fastened with copper bolts with a roof over the deck. It was 191.5 feet long.
