Note
Not 100% convinced re marriage to Philippa. I have a record of the father of Thomas who married Philippa being a Thomas also - not James. So this record is not certain. I have very grave doubts about this record. Thomas Tregilgas Jose is the son of James and Jane/Jinifer - but the marriage to Philippa just seems wrong somehow. I suspect this is a different Thomas Jose. 23/04/2009 - On the other hand, there is only one Thomas (Tregilgas) Jose baptism in St Enoder in the right period - so perhaps he really is the correct Thomas and I misread the register? My notes from the time were pretty scribbly! 15 Aug 2010 - The entry in the parish register looks as though the vicar wrote Thomas originally, then tried to overwrite James, it is very confused looking! So James is likely to be correct and the Thomas entry for the father was a clerical error which was corrected (badly). The name "James Jose" is written in the Occupation column for the father too.
