Note	Unable to locate a BMD entry for William Francis JOSE, I tried my hand at TIPPETT instead. William F TIPPETT June qtr 1922 St Columb 5c 134 Mother maiden name listed as TIPPETT. As Robert David Jose and Violetta were not married until 1923, this is the answer I think.
Note	I still cannot find a marriage. I tried William Jose and Phyllis - nothing. I have found a possible using William Tippett, although it seems a little far - Jun qtr 1939 Totnes 5b 503 William C Tippett and Phyllis M DODD. But the middle name is wrong for Bill....Also, there are children born in Totnes with Dodd mother... So it isn't the right one.
