Interesting one this! Looks like John went to US and possibly remarried a Kaite Penrose. Slightly confusing still. Per IGI, married Mary George 6 Dec, 1883. I have found a record on PC regarding a John Francis Trenerry, who married a May George, same date. His parents are listed as Joseph and Emily, whereas the John Trenerry ones are likely to be William and Fanny? Perhpas this is 2 different people? I have a note re: John F being born 29/03/1857 Interestingly, the same database ( Trenerry.htm in windows/famweb) has a John born 6/8/1864 marrying Katie Penrose. So it looks like almost certainly 2 different Johns. May seems likely to be the name used by George lady. FOund a Nanny - parents Joseph and Emily - so it looks likely! To clarify - John Francis Trenerry is NOT the correct person. He was baptised 11 June 1857 in Perranzabuloe, according to the Methodist register. Parents were Joseph and Emma Trenerry.

As it is suspected that John went to the USA in the 1890s, it is interesting to note this - at marriage of Winnifred, in 1921, he is listed as deceased. In 1915, at Rhodas wedding, he is listed as alive.

Per 1930 USA census, John was aged 65 and was 20 years old at first marriage. He states he entered the US in 1885. Also listed are - Katie, wife aged 60 who was 19 years old at first marriage Sons Philip H aged 23, born in Arizona and Walter, aged 18, born in California.

So John went to the USA in 1888. Thus, Rhoda and Winnifred are possibly not his - which explains perhaps why they are not on the will from Richard Trenerry, yet the sons are.

The 1910 US census shows Katie Penrose's mother! Christana? Penrose mother in law aged 64, seemingly the mother of 4 children

According to Kathy Trenery in the USA, John divorced Mary in 1900 in the States. Apparently, John was awarded custody of the two sons. Of course, this was on paper - they were in the UK, so it didn't happen.

None of the children of John and Mary are baptised in Cubert - I have checked the parish records and found nothing.
