Note	As Sarah Ann is noted as a widow in 1881 - 3 Henry Leach's died between 1855 ( approx birth of son) and 1881 in Rochdale - March 1860qtr March 1868 qtr (but this is 1 year old child) and Henry Maundaley or Mandelay also aged 1 Juneqtr 1880 So probably 1860 death?
Note	Henry is, in my view, likely to have actually been Henry Pilkington, rather than Leach. I believe that Sarah Ann Leach lived with Henry Pilkington, who was the father of her children, but they were not legally married. Perhaps living as common law couple?
Note	In view of the information here and in the record for Sarah Ann Leach, I am changing the record from Henry Leach to Henry Pilkington.

John Thomas in 1861 is with his aunt [Sarah’s sister]. So Henry and Sarah had John Thomas b 1855 William b 1860 d1863 Mary b1862 d1910 Henry died in Sept 1878 one month after John Thomas married Mary Thompson. On the marriage certificate father is signed a Henry Leach, Clogger. Which makes me think that John Thomas must never have known that his parents were not married. [Henry’s name had reverted to Henry Pilkington on his death certificate and it was Sarah Leach that reported the death]. I wondered why they never married so I traced his first wife Jane Ashworth and discovered she was still alive, she did not die until 1891 so they could never have married even if they wanted to.
