Note
From the IGI, there is a James Dunstan, born about 1781 at Kea, who married a Constance, born around 1785 in Kea. Also from IGI, a James, christened 8 June 1783 at Kea, father Nicholas, mother Elizabeth. Grave in Kea churchyard - Poor condition in parts, but - james, died April 14, 1866. Also on stone is son, James. Rest is illegible really. Suspect this is the same person. Per IGI, there is a James Dunstan christened 30 October 1814 at Kea - parents James and Constance. This would seem likely to be the same family then. I wonder if this is the same James Dunstan mentioned here - Extract from a now defunct link on Exeter Universitys website - The Cornwall Agricultural Association awarded a prize of £5 to `The Cottager in Kenwyn, Kea, St Clement, Merther or Probus, who shall have brought up the largest family, with the smallest means, and in the best manner without parish relief'. In 1833 the prize went to James Dunstan of Kea who had raised 14 children - £5 was equal to the prize awarded for the best bull and £3 more than that received by the `best Milch Cow or Heifer'.
