Death
Buried at St Enoder.
Note
Married to Mary per christening details for Philly. Lived at Retyn, employed as husbandman.
Note
There is a burial for a Mary Morrish 3 August 1850 aged 63 in the St Enoder website. Also a Nicholas buried 4 July 1852 aged 77

Note
I suspect Nicholas and Mary married in Scotland. There is a James Morrish listed on the 1851 census in St Enoder, aged 35, born in Edinburgh...
Note
1851 census for Mitchell - 40,Mitchell,John Curtiss,Head,M,47,,Labourer,Crantock Cornwall,, ,,Elizabeth Curtiss,Wife,M,,41,,Edinburgh Scotland,, ,,Nicholas Curtiss,Son,U,15,,Ag Lab,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,Catherine Curtiss,Dau,U,,13,Out To Work,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,Thomas Curtiss,Son,U,9,,Scholar,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,Jane Curtiss,Dau,U,,6,Scholar,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,Emma Curtiss,Dau,U,,4,Scholar,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,William Curtiss,Son,U,2,,,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,Nancy Curtiss,Dau,U,,1m,,Newlyn Cornwall,, ,,Nicholas Morrish,Lodger,W,77,,Greenwich Pensioner,St. Enoder Cornwall,,
Note
I did an IGI hunt for any marriage, but all there is is one submitted record which seems a bit dodgy - Nicolas Morris and May Smith married 24 April 1809 Edinburgh. Unlikely.
Note
Although he claims St Enoder as birth place, there is only one record which seems to fit - and that is Colan as far as the baptism is concerned. Extracted IGI record - christening 22 July 1775 Colan Parents Nicholas Morrish and Mary
Note
There is a Morrish family website which claims that Nicholas was baptised 22 July 1775 (Colan) and married a Miriam Smith (born 11 Dec 1787 Edinburgh). Marriage date 24 Apr 1809. No sources though.
Note
A post on the Ancestry name boards for Morrish states - "Nicholas Morrish of St. Enoder Cornwall, who was a Marine Drummer, married Miriam Smith (sometimes Mary, and listed on her marriage cert. as May! and he as Morris!)in 1809,at Tolbooth, Edinburgh. Miriam's father was James Smith, a trunk maker, and the Scottish Anderson and Kerr names feature largely in the Morrish family. Nicholas and Miriam had at least two children, Elizabeth and James, in Scotland, and then returned to the Morrish home at St. Enoder, where these two children feature in parish records, thereby proving that the Scottish marriage is correct." That seems to confirm my thoughts about Nicholas.
