There is a burial in Crantock 19 Oct 1873 for an 85 year old Ann Chegwidden of Newquay which is likely to be her |
| Note | Unverified date of birth claims 24 Oct 1779 in St Agnes, but I doubt there is any proof of a birth - perhaps a baptism? Not found anyway.
The census entries claim she was born in Newlyn East.... and probably born nearer to 1790 than 1777!
Mother perhaps Jane (there is a Jane Chenoweth with the Chegwidden family in 1841 census)
I can't see a baptism which could be her. Especially in Newlyn. |
